Scottish music, irish accents and Scandinavian culture = skellige.
I wish I could delete my memories and play this piece of art again
I am in no way being hyperbolic when I say CDPR have created perfection. PER-FEC-TION.
Anyone else listening to this masterpiece of a song in 2018?
Lyrics:Fhir a' bhàta'S tric mi sealltainn on chnoc as àirdegach àit' an téid thuDh'fheuch am faic mi fear a' bhàtagach àit' an téid thuFhir a' bhàta'S tric mi sealltainn on chnoc as àirdeEnglish:Oh my boatmanI often look from the highest hill(Wherever you go)That I might see, oh boatman(Wherever you go)Oh my boatmanI often look from the highest hill
I hate it when i play The Witcher and random monster interupts this epic song. Monster 0 Geralt 1
My life has been divited in two parts: after, and before The Witcher: Wild hunt
anyone still play witcher 3 in 2018?
I have been playing video games for about 30 years. I have played through some of the greatest games ever made. THIS is by far the most complete experience ever created. Absolute masterpiece and a work of art. The story, characters and music are among the greatest ever! Only bad thing, it ruined games for me... NOTHING compares. I am writing this in 2018. It is still true.
I want to live in Skellige
THIS IS POLISH GAME SO I'M PROUD OF MY COUNTRY
This game is just unforgettable experience for me
Our oldest son; Nick , suggested for me to listen to this beautiful and peaceful to help with my stress. It's amazingly relaxing!😊
My favourite piece of music from my favourite video game of all time. Without question the finest video game ever made. It's beyond a game - it's an adventure, an experience and and a work of art. Thank you CD Projekt. Thank you for showing us what games can be. A thousand blessings upon you.
When this first played as the ambient backdrop music in Ard Skellige, I put the controller down just to listen a while. Sat back across my armchair and before I realised it, I'd been sat for two hours listening to it over and over again. This and the other ambient sounds, the wind, the sea lapping at the coast below the cliff, the birds and the beasts, Roach kicking his feet and snorting... It was and remains one of the best times in gaming for me. No other game has had me utterly captivated by music and ambient sounds. To be happily content to sit down for two hours and do, literally, nothing is the kind of thing that only the Witcher can do.
People who clicked thumb down need immediate medical help
So many people forget that a soundtrack is almost as important as graphics, story, characters etc. A good soundtrack and really pull you into the game. A great soundtrack can make you feel like you’re actually there living the game it’s self. Witcher 3 is definitely one of those games with a soundtrack that makes you feel alive in the game world while playing. To me, if a game makes you stop ... and just exist for a few moments, walking around in awe, then that is a damn good game. I need to replay this game, it hasn’t even been a full year since my last play through but I miss it already.
i miss geralt and friends ♥ :(
look at the views! is just one piece of music from one area of the game, other game companies should take notes!
This is the best game ever made. I don't wanna hear any shit about ocarina of time, Half Life 2, or whatever...no, Witcher 3 is the best game ever and it's likely that CDPR is the only current developer capable of outdoing it.
All respect to CDPR They made a masterpiece Waiting for cyberpunk 2077
About to start my first play through!wish me luck!
The feels when riding your horse through Skellige for the first time.
Anyone from September 2018, feeling alone...
As an Irishman it feels embarrassing when the Poles produce a version of this song that feels far more moving than the originals.
I WANT THE WITCHER 4!!!!!!!!!!
I hate that this is not on Spotify
the best song in the game imo, so majestic and mystic, a masterpiece.
The Witcher 3 is not a game, but an incredible experience. All inside it is an art and a fantastic work, music, photography, characters (and their conversation)... is too much incredible, I hope Cyberpunk 2077 will have a quality almost the half of this game. I finished it 4/5 times.. and Touissant is too much beautiful
Sapkowski books and CDPR games makes me feel really proud to be an slav.
"grand those swords, but I prefer me trusty axe"
* Sirens incoming *"What now, you piece of filth?"11/10
This is the first game that grabs your heart and never releases it again. The longer I play it, the more I do not want to stop. The whole story of Geralt, Ciri, Triss, Yennefer and all other characters on my way I experienced quite personally - emotionally. The climate of this game, many possible endings that are a consequence of the decisions what we made and the soundtrack make the Witcher the only game with which I feel an emotional bond. Not because I am Polish and wants to praise the Polish game. She does not need it, who will really want to see it, that she is one of a kind. But being a Pole is one thing I know for sure. We should be proud that in times when for many of the producers is only important: impressive graphics and fun for a few hours, We could give the Witcher to the world. Which will remain forever remembered in many hearts, all over the world.
Skyrim was good, but The Witcher 3 is better... now I'm sad I've finished the game.
That feeling when i got to skellige for the first time... This is a masterpiece.
Makes me want to buy a horse and live out my days in the Irish countrysides, whilst pretending I'm a Witcher in Skellige.
Lyrics (Scottish Gaelic/English):Fhir a' bhàta, Oh, fair boatman'S tric mi sealltainn I often look out from the hillOn chnoc as a' bhàta for my tired boatmanGach àit' an téid thu wherever you might beI'ach ann faic' id faighna thu I beg the waves to give you backGach àit' an téid thu wherever you might be
Lyrics: (Translation and where the song is from below)Fhir a' bhàta'S tric mi sealltainn on chnoc as àirdegach àit' an téid thuDh'fheuch am faic mi fear a' bhàtagach àit' an téid thuFhir a' bhàta'S tric mi sealltainn on chnoc as àirdeTranslation:Oh my boatmanI often look from the highest hill(Wherever you go)That I might see, oh boatman(Wherever you go)Oh my boatmanI often look from the highest hillIt's from a song called "Fhir a' bhàta" or "The Boatman" and the full version is longer. It's about a woman worrying about her husband, a boatman.
When I first heard this track in the game I had to immediately turn down all other sounds in game/real life and only hear the music while roaming around Skellig. I stopped on top of a cliff and just closed my eyes, felt such an intense euphoric goosebump all over me from head to toe. For some reason it brought back memories of my childhood growing up in Germany during windy fall seasons oh how much I would give to relive those days of roaming around the forest , smell that fresh air with hint of grass and wood. Skellig reminds me of those days. Has music ever given you such feeling when you have a flashback at your life? Then you know it's a masterpiece! Music like this makes the game experience unforgettable. This track with the howling winds riding around Skellig = most epic experience in any game I've had. Definitely need to play the game over again...
Witcher 3, game of the decade 2010's
Greatest RPG of all time, sorry Final Fantasy fans...
I'm starting to hate Witcher 3. The more I play it the more I have to change my "favorite X in any video game" list because it keeps taking up all of the spots.
After beating this game twice, i have never found another game that was able to satisfy me like this.😢
when i play Witcher 3 and i am in Skelige i stop and do nothing but listen to this tune.......it is really amazing....and the game is awesome...
So perfect. Man I wish I could wipe my memory of this game clean and experience another first playthrough!
Skellige was definitely the best part of the Witcher to me. Read all the books, played all the games, but still Skellige surprised me so much, the atmosphere and landscape was awesome. I always loved how Skellige is more wild and not so civilized, the nature and traditions are still so strong there. Perfect place for a witcher. To me the place described the north setting maybe even a liiitle bit better than Skyrim. It reminded me how i need to visit places like Norway and Iceland and revisit Canada and Ireland. Im from Czech Republic, the nature looks very similar to the mainland area in Witcher - a lot of hills, magnificent forests and rivers everywhere, but unfortunately not so many mountains. Although we got this: https://czadventures.files.wordpress.com/2015/03/czech-switzerland-2-e1427381128343.jpg and https://wallup.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/10/345302-landscape-nature-river-canyon-forest-mist-cliff-clouds-sunset-spring-Czech_Republic.jpg
Anyone watching in June 2017? I feel lonely. :(
Anyonw remember the first hours of playing and riding with roach through this beautiful world?
Witcher 3 > Every game
Scandinavia + Scotland... Seriously man, Skyrim wettest dream is to be like Skellig. CD projekt nailed with perfection the authentic "far north" feeling, at least the themed on most people minds. Who doesn't like the scottish accent? What fan of medieval fantasy didn't like the Vikings? Skyrim tried and succeeded to bring some of this, but Skellig is the perfect recreation of all the good things of north europe. The world is so authentic, Witcher 3 is the best medieval themed game of alltimes, no question. Fantasy and reality alike, no game has this feelings and personality.
This is an angel singing. Can someone plz recommend more vocal masterpieces like this one???
The greatest game ever made . End of.
This game is just. 10/10 in every aspect. I got the bad ending in which ciri dies. This song is in my head and i am crying
"Games aren't art." Lol
Geralt: I'm not crying, roach just kicked some dirt into my eye.Yen: Yeah yeah, sure.Geralt: Dammit, Yen, I miss ciri.
Witcher 3 is mistakeless game. Its absolutely perfect.
The best game forever I love you the witcher 3😢🌹😘
this music is why i never fast travel in Skellige
Still the best Game Witcher 3 > Red Dead 2
It’s been three years since this game came out and it’s still hands down the best game I’ve ever played, no game has ever matched this ones beautiful in story telling, visuals, or music in my opinion especially skelliege
Made in Poland. Simple
Absolutely perfect. It brings a perfect picture of Old Scotland, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
First time I arrived in Skellige, I simply walked all the way from the beach to Kaer Trolde, taking in all the beauty around me while this music played. Needless to say I was in awe. Walking all that way instead or running of riding my horse obviously took quite a while but it was worth it 100%. Around every corner, another spectacle awaited. Truly one of the most magical video game moments I've ever experienced.
This song makes me cry because it reminds me of my daughter's birth, the day before she was born, I stopped as I played to listen to this song.
Thanks to all who created this amazing world. It's fictious world but some scientists consider that all images, dreams generated in humann head once happened in reality.
